Can Kybella® be Used in Other Areas?

Kybella® is FDA approved for treatment of double chin, however since 2015 it has been used “off label” under the supervision and care of trained medical professionals to treat other stubborn pockets of fat. This has included treatment of fat along the jawline, and in other areas of the body such as the bra line, inner thighs, and abdomen.

Does Kybella® Slim Your Face?

When Kybella® injections are used to address fat pockets around the chin and jawline. With less fat in these areas, the jawline can appear sharper, offering a slimmer look to the lower face.

Many patients choose to supplement Kybella® treatments with dermal filler in the lower face and collagen boosting skin treatments (ie sublative laser, or microneedling) to achieve further definition and slimming of the lower face.

Does Kybella® Make Your Skin Sag?

Kybella® injections target fat breakdown, and do not have any effect on the skin itself. Whenever you lose weight in any part of the body the skin’s ability to tighten back up is dependent on many factors specific to the patient such as anatomy, age and skin elasticity.

During your medical consultation, an experienced provider will complete a full examination of the area you are looking to treat, review your medical history, and determine the best course of treatment for you.
