What is Belotero Balance?

Belotero Balance is an FDA-approved injectable filler designed to smooth moderate to severe nasolabial folds. Nasolabial folds are the lines that extend from the corners of your nose to the corners of your mouth, and are a common concern when it comes to wrinkle treatments. The active ingredient in Belotero Balance is hyaluronic acid, a popular substance that is used in several types of facial treatments. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a small molecule found in nearly every cell in the human body. This little element has the amazing ability to retain almost 1,000 times its weight in water, and is an essential part of many of the systems in your body. When HA binds to water, it creates a viscous gel that provides moisture and lubrication to areas ranging from your eyes to your joints to your skin. In fact, approximately 50 percent of the HA in your body is found in your skin, working to keep it hydrated and balanced. What to Expect From Your Belotero Balance Treatment and Results

At The Rejuva Center at Williams, all of our injectable filler treatments are performed right in our office, and they typically take under 30 minutes. You will be made comfortable in one of our relaxing, spa-like treatment rooms, ready for your Belotero Balance injections to be performed by one of our trained and experienced staff. The procedure is virtually pain-free, though if you prefer, we can apply a topical anesthetic to ensure that your experience is completely comfortable. The treatment is a minimally invasive one that requires no downtime – you can return to work or your other daily activities immediately without anyone even knowing that you had a cosmetic treatment. Side effects, if any, are mild and temporary. You may experience a bit of swelling or bruising at the injection site, though thin, fine gauge needles are used to further reduce your chances of bruising or discomfort.
