They walk the red carpet, appear in television interviews, show up on the big screen, and they always look flawless. While they do have professional makeup artists helping them out, many actresses gain their glowing, radiant skin by turning to the talents of a board certified facial plastic surgeon. You don’t have to hide behind makeup; you can have the same flawless skin as your favorite celebrity.
Chemical Peels
Chemical peels involve the application of a chemical mixture to the skin. This mixture causes the top layer of skin to peel away, revealing fresh, radiant skin in its place. There are different levels of chemical peels, including the medium-depth TCA peel. Many celebrities do enjoy mild chemical peels that help rejuvenate their aging faces.
The Pontius Peel is one peel that takes very little time. The mask is placed on your skin during a visit to your facial plastic surgeon’s office, and then you go home with the mask in place. Following your surgeon’s instructions, you apply products at home that help remove that mask. In a few days, the skin begins to peel off on its own. This peel lightens dark spots, uneven pigmentation, and improves the skin’s texture and tone.
Actress Ellen Barkin is still looking gorgeous, even in her late-50s. While she says she shies away from surgical procedures, she is not averse to regular chemical peels and laser treatments. Her goal isn’t to look younger than she is, but she doesn’t want to deal with poor skin texture.
Dancing With the Stars‘ co-host Brooke Burke also admits to undergoing chemical peels. In her case, darkening skin associated with pregnancy (melasma) was proving troublesome, so she sought chemical peels to clear up her complexion. The Williams Center also offers a special regiment of products that help to lighten hyperpigmentation and maintain that even color.
Laser Skin Resurfacing
By directing laser energy at the surface of the skin, the energy from the light goes into the skin’s tissue. This stimulates collagen production and helps remove the dull upper skin layers. As the upper layers of skin peel away, younger-looking skin appears. Lasers are beneficial in removing birthmarks, spider veins, sun spots, and wrinkles.
